Wavelength

4-12 Players~30 minParty

Wavelength is a team spectrum guessing game where players try to read each other's minds. Each round, a Psychic sees a target on a spectrum between two opposing concepts (like "Hot - Cold" or "Good Movie - Bad Movie") and gives a one-word clue. Their teammates then discuss and place their guess on the spectrum, trying to land as close to the hidden target as possible. The opposing team can score a bonus point by guessing which side of the guess the target falls on. Points are awarded based on accuracy. First team to reach the target score wins. A perfect party game that sparks great conversations and debates.

Clue, guess and reveal

Each round, the Psychic sees a hidden target between two opposing concepts. In this implementation, the Psychic submits a single-word clue. Their teammates discuss it and submit a position from 0 to 100. The Psychic cannot submit their own team’s guess.

The other team then predicts whether the target is left or right of the guess. The reveal shows the target and points, and teams alternate turns while the Psychic role rotates.

How does scoring work?

A guess within 5 points of the target earns 4 points; within 10 earns 3; within 20 earns 2; farther away earns 0. A correct opposing-team left/right prediction earns 1 point, except on an exact hit. The target score is 10; if both teams reach it in the same round, the active team wins.

Who can see the target?

Only the Psychic sees it before the reveal. Keep separate browser views so teammates cannot see the Psychic’s screen.

Do we need an account or a physical game?

No account or download is required to use this browser implementation. The room supplies the spectrum, target and scoring; your group supplies the conversation.
